01 · The context
Resmob Solutions helps universities, corporates and NGOs across Africa raise funds and win grants. In July 2026 they brought together people from 12 organisations for a day of AI training.
02 · What was breaking
Most of the room had tried ChatGPT. Few used it for real work. Grant research, concept notes and donor reports were still written from a blank page, and nobody had rules for what data could go into a chatbot.
03 · The approach
- 01Laptops open from the first hour. No slide marathon.
- 02Each person worked on a task from their own job: a concept note, a donor list, a report summary.
- 03We built a shared prompt library around research and proposal writing.
- 04We closed with a short AI usage policy each organisation could take back to its leadership.
04 · Shipped
38 people from 12 organisations left with working prompts for their own tasks and a policy draft for their board.
